The mission of environmental justice is to provide a safe and healthy environment for all to enjoy yet there are communities who suffer from air and water pollution more than others. Fair Haven is one of those communities. In 2023, Governor Ned Lamont signed a bill into law that aims to protect communities from new sources of pollution. Save the Sound leads environmental action in your region. We fight climate change, save endangered lands, protect the Sound and its rivers, and work with nature to restore ecosystems. We work in many ways, from legislative advocacy and legal action to engineering, environmental monitoring, and hands-on volunteer efforts.
