Josh oversees grants, membership, and events. He collaborates with program staff on revenue strategy and compliance; leads development operations; chairs the management team; and spearheads special organizational initiatives.

He came to us in 2018 from Domus, in Stamford CT, where he led the grants team and handled communications for a nonprofit working to engage off-track young people in school, positive youth development, and vocational training. Prior to that he was a magazine writer and editor: He served as executive editor at Martha Stewart Living magazine and articles editor at This Old House magazine; has written for Consumer Reports, Popular Science, Health, Prevention, Scholastic, and The New York Times; and was a columnist for Money magazine for eight years.

Josh is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. He serves on the Representative Town Meeting in Fairfield CT, an elected legislative position. He and his wife are empty nesters, and he spends his free time renovating his 1920s house, throwing tennis balls for his rescue Labrador, and sailing Long Island Sound.
