Jake works within the Ecological Restoration team at Save the Sound as the Director of Connecticut Ecological Restoration Programs. He feels fortunate to be able to make a difference improving habitat around water at the intersection of the natural and built environment. And he looks forward to continuing to implement nature-based solutions that help jumpstart the natural restoration and recovery of a variety of ecosystems.

Jake Dittes is a professional water resources engineer with experience leading various ecological restoration in both coastal and fluvial ecosystems. He’s been involved in all aspects of these projects from initial conception and field work, modeling, engineering design, permitting, and construction oversight.

Jake earned a BS in engineering from Harvey Mudd College. He is excited to be back in the New Haven area after spending the last few years in Brooklyn. In his free time, he likes exploring, whether on foot, a bike, a boat, or underwater with a snorkel.
