Alex is Save the Sound’s inaugural Environmental Justice Specialist, focusing on building and deepening relationships with communities overburdened by pollution, and with fellow organizations working for equity.

In his previous role as Climate Advocate, Alex was responsible for youth mobilization and supported climate-related communications, coalition building, community engagement, and legislative advocacy. Prior to joining Save the Sound, Alex served as Community Organizer to the CT League of Conservation Voters where he planned and executed campaigns relating to climate action, voting rights, and electric school bus advancement. He has also served in roles such as Chair of the Public Participation subcommittee of the Governor’s Council on Climate Change, and Vice Chair of Hartford’s Advisory Commission on the Environment.

In his free time, Alex enjoys spending time with family, reading, singing, and dancing.
