A new addition to the team in May 2019, Alex has over a decade of experience working in environmental conservation. After studying at Clark University and SUNY-ESF, he worked on reptile and amphibian research projects in the woods and swamps of Upstate New York. Back in his home state of Massachusetts, he worked with Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust and Polatin Ecological Services/Land Stewardship Inc. on conservation land stewardship, management, and restoration.

Alex completed a program in ecological design and planning at the Conway School in 2015 with the purpose of building his restoration skillset. He went on to lead riparian buffer restoration projects in the Merrimack River watershed, and then worked for the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife. He comes to Save the Sound with an excitement for restoring the processes that underpin our ecological systems.
