We’re growing in great ways! With your support, over the past two years we have: opened a new western Sound office in Mamaroneck; led coalitions to save Plum Island, protect the Oswegatchie Hills, and promote electric vehicles; founded Stamford 2030, an innovative private-public partnership; and taken on governments to stop water pollution.
And we wanted you to be the first to know our latest news: we’re moving to new headquarters to accommodate our growing staff and launching a change to our public face–one new great logo!
Why a new logo? It’s time. Save the Sound merged into Connecticut Fund for the Environment in 2004, bringing enthusiastic supporters, a beloved fish logo, and an ambitious mission the two organizations shared whole-heartedly. Over the last decade, the united organization has thrived and grown, with diverse expertise–in the law, engineering, policy, outreach, and more–making us more flexible and powerful than ever before.
Now, with our growth, it is time to unify our logos. More than ever, our campaigns to protect the waters, lands, air, and wildlife of our region are interconnected and multi-faceted, not siloed. We think this new logo reflects that unity and momentum while staying true to our roots.
You might have questions…
What else is changing? Just the visuals! We’re keeping both the Connecticut Fund for the Environment and Save the Sound names. And most importantly, our mission and programs are the same! We remain one organization fighting every day to protect and restore the land, air, and water of Connecticut and Long Island Sound.
Can I still choose where my gift goes? Absolutely! When gifts are unrestricted, we can deploy them to the area of greatest need. But as always, you can designate your gift to the area you care most about and know that it will be used exclusively for that program–saving the Sound, protecting threatened lands, stopping air pollution, and more. However you give, know that we are grateful for your support!
What’s your new address? Starting April 1, our New Haven office will be at 900 Chapel St., Upper Mezzanine, New Haven, CT 06510. Our western Sound office is staying put at 545 Tompkins Ave, 3rd Floor, Mamaroneck, NY 10543.
How can I help? Spread the word! Let your friends know we’ve moved, and share our Facebook and Twitter posts announcing the new logo. Join us at an event this spring to pick up a bumpersticker your car can wear proudly.
