2024 Connecticut Coastal Cleanup

Volunteer Signup Below

The Connecticut Cleanup is a state-wide effort hosted by Save the Sound as part of Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Cleanup. This global event, which occurs on International Coastal Cleanup Day in mid-September, has motivated over 11.5 million people around the world to pick up over 210 million pounds of trash from nearly 390,000 miles of shoreline. Join the CT Cleanup to help us continue this effort and stop trash in its tracks!

In addition to cleaning the beach, Save the Sound can use the data you collect to influence laws that reduce pollution at the source! We’ll be using the Clean Swell app to keep track of the trash we pick up at each cleanup. Download here: iOS or Android.

Please RSVP for each cleanup you’d like to join as a volunteer. This ensures we have enough supplies for everyone and can keep you informed about any weather-related changes.
