Killian joined Save the Sound in March 2024, and works on Connecticut-based legislation, and communications for the lands, climate, and environmental justice teams. With degrees in sociology, public policy, and environmental science, she thrives at the intersection of science and policy and is excited to get to do both here.
Prior to her role at Save the Sound, Killian worked with international students at LSU, was a research fellow at the Geopolitics and Ecology of Himalayan Water initiative, and interned for the Center for International Environmental Law. She was an international student herself studying in Jordan, Morocco, Abu Dhabi, and Madrid before returning to start her career in the U.S. When not at work, she enjoys hiking with her dog Bernie, playing board games, and playing cello.
