Ecological Communications Specialist
Lindsay Skedgell grew up in Connecticut along the Long Island Sound and has a personal connection and investment in illuminating the environmental stories of our region. She believes that accessibility in science storytelling is essential to communicate environmental concerns and enact change.
With a degree in cultural anthropology, Lindsay has worked as a documentary filmmaker, a photographer, a farmer, an arts and environmental educator, and a journalist. She has made documentary work that explores stories of a 3rd generation cacao farmer in Peru, a death educator involved in green burials, a Coney Island game worker, and more.
When free, Lindsay finds herself making block prints, designing the environmental justice magazine Heel & Hive, and playing folk music with her band, Mother Juniper.
