Youth Organizer Corina Chang Wins Save the Sound Eco Advocate Award

Last year we established the Youth Eco Advocacy Corps to partner with young regional environmental activists. These emerging leaders meet monthly to learn advocacy skills, hone their stories, and take action together for a more sustainable future.

One such young leader is Corina Chang, a youth organizer with West Hartford Climate Projects. West Hartford Climate Projects is a grassroots environmental group based within West Hartford, CT. Corina has partnered with us in pursuit of clean energy and clean transportation policies because she wants to protect Connecticut’s climate.

Since joining the Youth Eco Advocacy Corps, she has served as a resource to fellow youth activists pursuing Climate Emergency Resolutions. She is currently pursuing one in West Hartford alongside Save the Sound, West Hartford Climate Projects, and the Citizens Climate Lobby of Connecticut. Read more about her leadership on Climate Emergency Resolutions here.

She has also lent her support to policies such as carbon pricing and the Green New Deal.

In recognition of her dedication to climate justice and a sustainable future, we have presented Corina with our first-ever Eco Advocate Award.

Thank you for everything you’re doing, Corina! We’re excited to continue partnering with you.
