Peter joined Save the Sound in 2015. He actively generates and processes data to garner a better understanding of the water quality challenges that currently face Long Island Sound. This undertaking is accomplished with Save the Sound staff and a dedicated corps of Citizen Scientists that are just as eager as Peter to identify and remediate threats to a sustainable future for Long Island Sound.
Peter has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara and a M.S. in Environmental Science and Management from Sacred Heart University.
Peter worked in the Education and Science Departments at the Bruce Museum prior to joining the team at Save the Sound. Peter is a member of the Town of Greenwich Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency in addition to serving on the Long Island Sound Study Water Quality Monitoring Workgroup, Interstate Environmental Commission Technical Advisory Committee, and Committee Chair on the Village of Mamaroneck Marine Education Center Advisory Committee.
