Dr. Eric W. Sanderson, senior conservation ecologist at the Wildlife Conservation Society and a leading voice in ecology in metropolitan New York, will present the next lecture in the Bird Homestead’s ongoing coastal resiliency series, at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at the Meeting House in Rye.
Sanderson, author of the acclaimed book, Mannahatta: A Natural History of New York City, will talk about “Hurricanes, Nature, and the Future of New York City.”
The program is part of the Bird Homestead nonprofit’s lecture series, “After the Storm: Toward a More Resilient Shoreline.” The series is funded, in part, by a grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Save the Sound is a co-sponsor
