Monday was our Transportation Funding Forum and it was a great success. We had over 150 public officials, advocates, and residents come out to learn about the state of transportation funding, the state’s needs, and what we need to do to move forward in the future.
If you missed the forum, you can watch the full event online here.
The forum started with remarks by Governor Dannel P. Malloy, who announced the creation of an inter-agency work group made up of representatives from the Departments of Transportation, Energy and Environmental Protection, Economic and Community Development, and the Office of Policy and Management.
Following Governor Malloy’s remarks, attendees heard from Jack Basso from the American Association of State and Highway Transportation Officials, ConnDOT Commissioner James Redeker, and a panel of experts and advocates made up of Emil Frankel of the Bipartisan Policy Center, Oz Griebel of the MetroHartford Alliance, and Joe McGee of The Business Council of Fairfield County.
