On Monday, CFE’s Transit for Connecticut program is holding its transportation funding forum on where the state is now and what is next.

Last month, we announced the forum and some of the details but we wanted to provide some more for those who are thinking about attending.

We are excited that Governor Dannel P. Malloy will be speaking at the forum to make a major announcement regarding transit-oriented development in Connecticut.

Here are the agenda highlights for the forum:

Registration: 8:30 A.M.

Opening Remarks: 9:00 A.M.

Remarks by Governor Malloy: 9:05 A.M.

Keynote Remarks by Jack Basso: 9:25 A.M.

Remarks by Commissioner Redeker: 10:15 A.M.

Panel moderated by Stewart Hudson: 10:30 A.M.

Closing Remarks: 11:45 A.M.

Can’t make it to the forum but want to follow alone? We will be live-tweeting from the forum as @CTEnvironment using the hashtag #Transit4CT.

This year’s transportation funding forum is sponsored by The Business Council of Fairfield County, Capitol Region Council of Governments, Connecticut Association for Community Transportation, Connecticut Construction Industries Association, Connecticut Fund for the Environment, Regional Plan Association, Transit for  Connecticut and Tri-State Transportation Campaign. It is cosponsored by the Connecticut Conference on Municipalities.

Transit for Connecticut is supported by the One Region Funders’ Group, including the Fairfield County Community Foundation and the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation.
