David is a 30-year veteran of corporate law and lifelong environmentalist. Having spent nearly three decades as a lawyer in private practice at Loeb & Loeb, and prior at Thacher Proffitt & Wood, David retired from law firm life in 2021 to return to his primary interest: environmental law, protection, and policy.

His leadership positions at Loeb & Loeb included co-chair of the Corporate Department, chair of the Knowledge Management Committee, and chair of the firm’s Dodd-Frank Financial Reform Task Force. He also lectured at the University of Wisconsin Law School on M&A for many years.

David’s career-long interest in the environment began during his undergrad years and continued with a clerkship in the Environmental Civil Enforcement Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. He received a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University and a J. D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School where he was the Senior Articles Editor of the Environmental Law Journal. David has also served as a member of the Sub-Committee for Environmental Law of the New York City Bar Association as well as holding Board and Trustee positions at leading environmental non-profits including the Waterkeeper Alliance, Riverkeeper, and The Westchester Land Trust.
